LOCATING ADDRESSES in WARDS and EDs

THE DIRECTIONAL COORDINATE METHOD of Locating Wards and EDs
A method of finding the Chicago Ward or Enumeration District for a
specific address.  Based on the Chicago Grid Mapping System, this
method is quick, easy, and does not require a present day map or the
reading of ward and enumeration district descriptions.

       "Turner's Best Chicagoland Street Guide"
Tiny, but mighty little book that provides directional coordinates for
current Chicago Streets.  Necessary tool when using the Directional
Coordinate method of locating EDs and Wards for 1910-1930 censuses.
This book can be found in Chicago area bookstores (map department) or
           on the web.   Cost:  $6.95

POINTers in Person Chicago - North Chicago Street Name Changes
Dan Niemiec has created an excellent website for dealing with Chicago street
name changes and those Chicago streets that no longer exist.  This site
supplements "Turner's Best Chicagoland  Street Guide" as an essential tool
when using the Directional Coordinate  Method of locating Wards and
            Enumeration Districts.
