A Look At The Census
The condition of the 1910 NARA Film that describes the boundaries for the Wards and Enumeration Districts was in very poor condition. Those descriptions that were not readable were reconstructed based on the reading of the actual census images. You may notice that many of the Ward descriptions are quite different than those published based on the Chicago City Ordinances of 1901. The 1910 Ward Descriptions I have posted are based on the actual
census of 1910. The slight variances are due, for the most part, to the timing of the Ordinances and the date of the census preparation and actual census enumeration.
